Compound of red + note. English translation of Chinese 小红书 (Xiaohongshu, literally “Little Red Book”). Coined in 2024, but launched in 2013. It should note, however, the actual Chinese name of Little Red Book is actually Hong Bao Shu, not Xiao Hong Shu.
